The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. Crying so hard I couldn't read the words on the page. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
"I love reading another reader’s list of favorites. Even when I find I do not share their tastes or predilections, I am provoked to compare, contrast, and contradict. It is a most healthy exercise, and one altogether fruitful." T.S. Eliot

This might be silly but "Changes for Felicity" back when I read American Girl books as a kid made me tear up as a kid.

I'm an avid reader of romance novels so those are the ones that make me sniffle a bit. My favorite series is the Dark series by Christine Feehan and quite a few of those books have made me cry.
Another one is To Kill a Mockingbird at the end of the book when Boo saves the children.

A couple of books have made me cry. usually if I am reading a realistic fiction book and it has a deep plot or if the book just ends sad then I may cry. One book was My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult which was so deep and meaningful.

I've cried while reading quite a few books, but the one that touched me the deepest and that I absolutely sobbed over was Rena's Promise: A Story of Sisters in Auschwitz.

The best series you can read that will grab you and make you feel so strongly for the characters that you will laugh, cry, worry and celebrate with them is the Into the Wilderness series by Sara Donati. Her expertise in historical fiction is phenomenal! I have never read any other work that made me feel so strongly. She really is an unequaled talent.

The only book that has ever made me cry is My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult and as a result, we are using a piece of music from the film adaptation for our first dance at our wedding! 👰

Clockwork Princess of The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare is the one to break me. Her way of words. Her characters. Their emotions. I cried in the car, I cried when I got home, I cried myself to sleep! That book is really something. 10/10 would recommend if you still haven’t gotten around to it.

Atonement by Ian McEwan
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince & Deathly Hallows
There are probably half remembered childrens' books that made me sob but I can't recall them right now.
Any novel that makes me cry means it is just so powerful.

The first book that ever made me cry was Slaughter of the Innocent by Hans Ruesch. Published in the 1980s, it was thoroughly harrowing. I don't think it is in print now.
