I read the discussion topic and was scrolling down to write my opinion, when this summed it up completely. While this book is enjoyable, it's a light read when you don't feel like concentrating. The Da Vinci Code is in another league completely, not only for the incorporation of historical facts, the believable mystery that makes you question whether it could actually be true, but for most importantly, the style and quality of writing. Other than the basics, I don't think they compare

I totally agree with you. I was so engrossed in this book that it left me little to no time to find similarities. Besides the themes are different and just the names are similar, in my opinion.
