I personally enjoy historical romance..... It's interesting and I often wonder how it really was in those days

My genre preference reflects my character as a human. I love romantic ones especially when it's sprinkled with science fiction and topped with fantasy novels. So I can say that I am a happily ever after kind of girl.

I think I am more picky about my movies. I can't get enough books and I like almost, no, I think I pretty much like any book genre, I'm less so enthusiastic with some movie genres. I know that books have a longer commitment but I enjoy the act of reading that you can put anything in front of me and I will almost always enjoy it.

I would love it if I could find some fantasy/SciFi shows or movies that aren't total cheese or used as an empty excuse to use CGI. It seems like when somebody sets out to create a paranormal TV show, in particular, it almost ALWAYS turns out to be horrible. I recently saw one so bad that it was the worst televised production, of any kind, that I had ever seen in my life.

This is an interesting question!

I definitely have a favorite genre of movies (horror), but I don't know that I can truthfully say I have a favorite genre of book. My tastes don't necessarily change, but I feel like they widen. I'm interested in such a variety of things now, and I'm more willing to just pick up a book and give it a shot than I used to be.

Of course, I'm starting to get more of a broad horizon in my movie tastes as well. I wonder how my answer to this might change in a few years?

I always like a good fantasy book, and I find that it definitely carries into my love for fantasy movies. I'm iffy towards historical fiction and romance, as well. It depends on the plot and its execution.

For me I am fairly flexible on what I read and watch. About my only rule is whenever possible I read whatever have been made into a film or TV show.

I watch way more comedy than I read. I watch and read sci-fi/fantasy equally, nothing compares to those stories in my opinion.

Action, mystery with a little bit of Romance are always the best. I prefer fantasy and thriller from time to time.

For movies, I’d rather watch Comedy, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, etc. For Books it’s pretty much the same but I’m not really a fan of horror.
