My vote would be on friendship would it have been there.

I feel that the major theme is the girl power as it overshadows the other themes thus is the dominant theme in the story.

bookowlie wrote: 26 Feb 2018, 11:39 I agree. Even in today's times, men often don't treat women as equals in the workplace. I also think men get raises and promotions more often due to the stereotype that they are the breadwinner in the family and need the money more. In addition to referring to grown women as girls, men will compliment women at work if they are wearing a nice outfit or got a new haircut. Men never get complimented on their hair or wardrobe at work!
While I agree with your views on the unequal treatment, I have to say that men do get compliments on their personal appearance at work too. And, yes, they love getting compliments.

I feel that friendship is the dominant theme of this book. Although the main characters are female and the problems they encounter are more common to women, the book's message of friendship can apply to both men and women. Hence, I do not think girl power is the best option.

I would have said friendship but since that is not an option, I'll say Girl power

Girl power yes. But I believe it the book is more about the power of women friendships, ties, and bonds.

life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.
