I love so many classic authors (Wilde, Keats, etc.) but my favorite contemporary authors are Khaled Hosseini and Gregory Maguire. Every single book they release is amazing!

My favorite author seems to change with time and age. Erich Maria Remarque is my all-time favorite. Especially Love thy neighbor. Remarque transports you to Europe in 1939, and despite the misery, you just don't want to leave. More recent favorite authors are Stieg Larsson, Jonathan Kellerman, Fay Kellerman, Jeffrey Deaver. So many books, so little time.

OMG! Iris Johansen is my favorite author of all time. Truth is she was not in the beginning (Christina Applegate) was. After I discovered her (Iris) though, our relationship of words took off to a non-ending spiral of mental appeal. I have an appetite for her work lol

You absolutely must read his other two novels! In fact (as AMAZING as The Kite Runner is, it's my least favorite of the three). Plus, he is releasing a new book at the end of this year that has to do with Syrian refugees. Can't wait!

We all have a number of favourite authors. My fave would be the following:

J.K. Rowling for creating the world of Harry Potter and opening the doors to imagination for kids and also for adults.
Cecelia Ahern for creating wonderful story lines and leaving us readers with lessons. She made me fall in love with Dublin and Ireland as a whole.
A.A. Milne for creating the best loved kid stories of all time, Winnie the Pooh.

I have a few favorite authors.

Jodi Picoult - I never know what is going to happen in her books. She does so much research and it shows in her work. I absolutely submerse myself into her stories.

Nora Roberts - I love all of the books of hers I've read but especially any having to do with Ireland.

Mark Tufo - Sarcasm and Zombies. He does it all so well.

Colleen Hoover - Her stories always make me feel so many emotions.

My all-time favorite Author is Stephan King. He opened me up to another world of books. I also love Dean Koontz, I can read the Odd Thomas series. In all honesty, i can't really pick a super favorite. I have at least one favorite for every genre I read.

So many favorites, but recently I can't get enough of Amy Tan & Mary Summer Rain. I also like Daniel Pinchbeck, Philip Gardiner and Barbara Hand Clow. All great non-fiction except for Amy Tan.

A favorite of mine is Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea in audio format read by Donald Sutherland.
