Thanks for your review! The audiobook format sounds interesting, but I think would prefer reading it myself.

I do love read Sheldon's books. Although, so far, it was Sydney Sheldon, but thanks to that review, I think from now on it could be Charlie Sheldon as well.

A good narrator can make or break an audiobook, so I understand your misgivings about flat voice acting. That can really pull you out of the immersion. For a book like this, with such gorgeous descriptions of the national park, I can imagine the monotone might be distracting and off-putting.

The imagery and mystery are what draws me to this story. I love nature and it sounds like that is a big part of this story. I can't wait to escape the hustle and bustle NYC into this great book!

I'm not generally a fan of multiple view points as they can get convoluted quickly, but I'm curious what the unbelievable story behind Sarah's disapearance was, so I'll have to look into this!

Nice, thought out review! I am part Native American myself, so my interest was a little piqued after reading your review. Though I don't prefer audiobooks because I feel like each reader experiences the words on the page quite differently than having had someone else read it to them--the cadence and rhythm of the language, shifting tones and emphasis, etc.
This one is a maybe for me. Still very good review!

Well, this story is interesting. I have loved the sample. It seems that Sarah will put the whole camping crew into serious trouble. I wonder what bizarre narrative she would give that the grandfather would give in to.

Well, Strong Heart, by Charlie Sheldon is a great book. Thanks for the great review.

I loved this book! I agree that it is the perfect mix of science and mystery. I got to learn a lot about Native American culture. However, I was also confused my Sarah's story. Her journey was certainly longer than the eight days she was missing, which threw me off.

I'm really enjoying the book. It seems like a family-bonding-and-healing-through-struggle-with-nature story until an unexpected twist, when Sarah goes missing. The author has done a great job with keeping his writing style weightless, so the story, setting, and characters shine through. Congratulations on BOTD!
