I have not always been the Christian I need to be but as my journey as grown and my husband has announced his call to the ministry, diving into the religious non fiction genre has inspired me.

I'm currently reading All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. It's won awards, so I thought it has to be good. One thing I do know is that it's challenging.

I am currently reading Sahara, by Clive Cussler. Love his work! Great adventure writer as well as sheds some light on environmental issues of some kind in most of his books. It’s a quick read, so I’ll probably be on to my next pleasure book in a couple of days.

I'm reading Raven's Peak by Lincoln Cole to review it, as well as The Lives of Tao by Wesley Chu. I just purchased the sci-fi and fantasy Humble Book Bundle, so I have 21 new books, of which the Lives of Tao is one, to sink my teeth into. I'm seriously loving The Lives of Tao, I'm only 66 pages in, but it's so masterfully written and is a great example of how to handle worldbuilding and opening a story that includes unfamiliar elements like sentient body-hopping aliens.

I just finished rereading Aristotle’s Rhetoric and Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. Both are absolute classics and everyone should read them. Recently however, I’ve been on a Tom Robbins kick. Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas was a fun read.

Duuuuude. Jitterbug Perfume is probably my all time favorite.

I'm reading Murder Must Advertise by Dorothy L. Sayers for a Real Life book group. It's quite a charming depiction of what is really a different world (first published 1933) but there's a certain amount of cheerful snobbery and some rather dubious attitudes to women of what might have been described at the time as 'easy virtue'.
