JK Rowling. I would love to discuss her views on the tough topics. She is refreshingly down to earth.

I'd like to have a pint of stout with JRR Tolkien. If he's not available, definitely GK Chesterton. :D

While Grisham, King, and Sparks are my greatest writing influences and mentors, I would have to say probably John Grisham because we have 'the legal field' in common and he can write well in different genres. I could probably learn something from him if we spent an afternoon lunch with a Long Island Iced Tea together. But I have been learning from all three all of these guys for well over twenty years.

Stephen King. I wouldn't want to talk about writing or books at all though; he just seems like a really cool, liberal dude who has a million anecdotes up his sleeve

Kara Starr.. Does anyone knew about her? I love her books! Although, I wasn't able to complete the hard copy of it. I hope I can find it here.

I prefer reading books written in century I live in, but I definitely want to have a beer with one of ancient philosophers. Especially with some celtic philosophers, 'cause they're not at all as popular as greek philosophers, so it's gonna be even more interesting!

True! I probably would have to make an escape plan for the bar if he ends ups being crazy.

I always see women I work with reading her! I just may have to give her a shot! I almost picked up one of her books on my last trip to the library, but I already had six in my hand, haha! :techie-studyinggray:

Yes, yes, yes! I just want to sit and shoot the **** (probably not allowed to cuss on here?!) with that man! I have a feeling sitting down with him would be like sitting with an old friend-- he'd probably be super mellow and not even act like one of the highest-paid authors in the world. Just like two old friends, shooting the BREEZE!

Although, I forgot to mention how I would act--- I would be trying really hard to play cool. At least for the first hour or so :)
