cliffhanger endings for me are usually quite upsetting at first but it really does peak your interest in wanting to know what happens next. The wait however is the killer for me

I didn't like how it ended as now I have to get the next one. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers.

When the book ended, I wanted it to keep going! I think that the book tied up enough loose ends to satisfy the reader and make it feel like one part of the journey was complete, but it left enough of a cliffhanger to entice the reader to want to read the second one.

In some tv series, some directors intend to end the show cliffhanging not to dissatisfy the audience but to keep the rating at its peak and to find out later on that a sequel of it is underway. So, I think the story ends just as perfect as it was written and the beautiful part of it is that, the readers have something to look forward to - the second part.

When I finished the book, I was left feeling eager to read the next. The author left enough open to lead the reader to the next installment, but also brought closure to certain events that happened within this first book. Personally, I enjoyed the ending of this book.
I agree with you that strength is a learning and it is great one :( :( :( :( :( :(

I like the ending of this book. I do not know if I had the patience to wait for the next installment. But I will be excited and waiting for it anyway!

I don't mind it ending with a cliffhanger. Since it's the first book in the series, it makes the readers drooling for the next book.

Books with cliffhangers are a double edged sword. On one side I like them because I can come up with different theories as to what will happen next, but on the other I JUST WANT TO KNOW!!!

I can agree with you on this. Oftentimes, I won’t start a new series unless I have access to the next books. That wasn’t the case this time, so I’ll just have to be patient. 🙃

I do not like cliffhangers. I prefer the book to feel complete when I reach the end. I know this incomplete ending encourages people to purchase the next book, however, I find that, if I enjoy a writer's style, I will purchase and read virtually any books they write. If I finish a book that makes me feel forced to have to read a second story for closure, I, personally, find this more of a deterrent.

I like the right amount of cliffhanger and some unresolved issues. I like imagining what could have happened to some minor characters and plot points. If all are resolved neatly and tied with a bow, I feel that it pandered to the readers too much.

I, for one, hate cliffhangers. This is mainly a problem when you have to wait another year or so for the next one. I need some closure.
