I'm not really interested in spiritual journeys so I don't think this one is for me. It does sound like there are some great quotes to reference. Thanks for your insight.
“Even if she be not harmed, her heart may fail her in so much and so many horrors; and hereafter she may suffer--both in waking, from her nerves, and in sleep, from her dreams.”

Two things sound a little bit like a letdown: the revelation that the journey may be a dream (cliche?) and the awkward phrasing and run-ons. I'll still read the sample, but I'll be doing it with a critical eye.

Great review. I find the story fascinating. The language herein is soft and ready for any reader to go through. Not one that would require you to sit by dictionary for reference of vocabularies. Congrats on being BOTD.

Since you say that this book has run on sentences and doesn't present anything new as far as plot goes, I don't think that I will be reading this one. However, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. It does sound like an uplifting book with a good message. Great review.

It seems like a good book though I can not seem to understand Baingana's interest in Sophia. Was it a romantic or spiritual interest? What did Sophia's father mean by dancing with Sophia?

Always good to re-explore spiritual concepts & journeys, even if you've encountered them before. It allows good ways to try to maintain one's authentic self. Thanks for a well-thought out review!
