The sci-fi part had some excitement but it was drowned by all the sex, technical jargon and unlimited aloha's. The detailed sexual encounters were totally unnecessary. I can give the book only 1 out of 4 stars.
unlimited aloha's.. ha ha.. good point. I too noticed that..
I didn’t really notice this aspect of the book, or at least wasn’t bothered by it.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I do not recommend this book at all, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to science fiction fans.

I wouldn’t either. It’s too different from the normal science fiction novel.

Yeah, probably. It's a better fit.

Yes, for that genre I think it is good fit.

I suppose it’s better catagorized as such, but I’m still hoping for more actual science fiction in the next book.

Wouldn't that be great! We should see more, considering the ending of this book.

That’s true, and I do hope that is the case.

I typically don't mind explicit scenes as long as I'm warned. I wasn't hooked by the sample though because of the technical jargon and the writing needed more polish.

The way this book was written made it feel like the characters in this book were scripted. And the sex scenes were just so odd and unnecessary I felt that if you were to take those scenes out you could still have a manageable plot. :snooty: But since we are talking about the plot I found that it wasn't easy to follow and very difficult to understand. I wish there would have been more of background knowledge. However i did like the S.S. squad how they were beast and were like the navy seals of women. Feminism! 8)

This book is tagged with hash tag off erotica.. I hope it was fine for you then 🙂

I hope something is left that way so that the next books could have some continuity.
