A thief in the nursing home. The novel brings about some spice to Edith's old age making you realise that life shall continue to be full of surprises no matter who or what age you are. Great review.

Thank you for providing a review of A Home from Home by Susan Barrett. It sounds like a poignant story about the various characters at Stoneycrest, the expense nursing home in London. I just downloaded this book after getting the email about receiving it for free. I knew nothing about it, but a free book is also worth taking a chance on. After reading through your review I am excited to read it. This is nowhere near the normal genre of books I read, as I often read mysteries, young adult novels, true crime novels and often other nonfiction, including biographies. I am looking forward to a different type of book to read, and the fact that it is a shorter one makes it even better as I often have a hard time getting through longer ones if it isn't a topic that I am deeply interested in. The plot seem to be interesting so I will have to start reading this soon so that I can decide myself what I think of it.

I read the sample, but I just didn't get into it. The author writes how characters would think, so I though the flow was pretty choppy.
