No, I felt the story highlighted the difference between Jennifer's time and how it differs from the 21st century.

Yeah. There were too many sex scenes than anything in this story. It distracted my reading that I was unable to finish reading the book.

I am very curios about this book that is why I try to read it. For my point of view, sex now a days are very common especially to the teens (let's face the truth) because of being adventurous, curios and eager to satisfy their partner and their self. In this time, 21st century women are also being liberated, liberated in everything- words, dress, movies and etc. We never tend to think twice of the consequence that might happen to us if we do much this thing. For me, sex is not evil, it can be evil if we use it a wrong way way. Sex can be a good especially in a couple who are married (take note they need to do it to their legal partner) who want to satisfy their needs and also wants to have a baby. This is just my opinion regarding to the book but at the end of the time your self is the one who can tell it how hungry you are in sex. 8)

I don't know if it is a story about a sex crazed woman as much as a story written by a sexually repressed man...

Way to much about the sex scene & not enough on the main plot

Sex hungry? That description is true in a funny way. The sex scenes come at an unexpected time. One would expect this book to contain more adventure and trying to fit into the 21st Century.

It is always annoying when these extraneous aspects end up eclipsing the actual plot lines. Books like that lose out on a lot of potential.
It is what you read when you don’t have to that determines what you will be when you can’t help it.

Yolimari wrote:Yes, I thought the author wrote too many sex scenes. It felt gratuitous. I also think these scenes detracted from the scientific main plot of the book. I believe he may have put so many to make the book fun because he was discussing heavy science themes.
:techie-studyingbrown: I thought the autor reach the audience very well.

Not at all, things should be said to provoke the way people think of some issues that take them out of confort zone. Obviously, we want more fun scenes. I respect.

Definitely, it looks so and most of the people are not gonna love it because explicit scenes in book don't look good

Far too many sex scenes that did nothing to further the plot, other than make the heroine look trashy. It started to read a bit like a porn film...girl relaxing at home, pizza guy arrives, they have sex. That was how purposeless some of the scenes felt.
