Paperback or Hardcover?

Paperbacks of course.... unless you want a book to store then I recommend hardcover. But if it's just a normal read paperbacks are easier and lighter to carry around in any position.

Hardcover for those good books I would like to reread. But normally I wouldn't know whether or not I want to reread the book before I buy it.

For the purpose of convenience I think paperback and also because of the compactness of soft cover books but one can't also deny how magnificent certain hard cover books look...I as a reader get attracted very easily to them

I find hardcovers better because they are nice to hold. They may tend to be heavier but it is alright. I also have this perception that when you are holding a hardcover it means your holding something more expensive hehehe

But papercovers are more available and cheaper in my area huhuhu

I like paperback better because it is cheaper and because it is easier to keep open. With a hardcover you have to have a bookmark. It is handier on trips because it won’t matter as much if you drop it.

Hardcover for me every time. All part of enjoying the whole reading package, and it has durability. Nothing wrong with a paperback but if there is a choice I will always go for the hardcover.

I would say hardcover. I usually just take the dust jacket off of the book I'm currently reading so it doesn't get messed up.

Although, I end up buying both, I prefer hardcover books. The main reason behind this is the loathsome quality of paperbacks these days. Even though I take the utmost care of my books, I was so disheartened to find some of my paperbacks getting ripped, folded and torn just because they had been read too many times or had been pressed against the shelf by some heavier books in my collection.

They're both fine. Paperbacks are nice 'cause they're lighter, but hardcovers lie flat more easily, so you can read while you eat, ha ha.

I like paperback books. They're easier to hold and, although bad for the binding, I like to crack the spine so it isn't as hard to keep the book open. I agree about wanting a series to be all the same cover type though!

If it is 500+ pages and i am planning to read it again then hardcover, if not then paperback.
