I've never thought much about Cancer quite this way and though I can't exactly relate to it for the fact that I've never known anyone suffering from it up and personal, the delicate presentation of each person's specific condition and trials spark deep empathy, yet serious respect for the courage in telling their stories. It certainly deserves a 4star rating. Same goes for your reviews as well, they're usually insightful. Thumbs up!

Thanks so much for this review. I'm on my second round of cancer, just recently diagnosed again, and am a little cancered-out, talk-wise. It's actually one of the reasons I am reading so many more books now; they do offer an escape! But this one sounds like a must-read, especially since you said it was a short read and I'm still not sure I want to spend that much time on a topic that sometimes seems very grim to me. It also sounds like a hopeful book. I shall see.

Great review! This sounds very informative and like a great book for those going through it in any capacity to read through. My father had border line stage 4 colon cancer. They classified it as stage 4 because the tumor had just started to perforate the colon wall when they performed the surgery to remove it.

Now several years later he is cancer free, but that year was the most terrifying year of mine and my families life. So many times my father wanted to give up. Come to find out my father has a genetic mutation called Lynch Syndrome that makes him predisposed to certain cancers. This past April we found out I also have the same genetic mutation and after my son is born I will have to under go surgeries and tests/procedures to ensure I don't go down the same path as my dad.

This is a book I will be adding to my collection!

Thanks for the review. Many women especially in my country are ignorant of this dreadful disease and creating great awareness is very essential. Right now my aunt is battling with cancer of the breast which has spread through her organs. This book will help a lot and kudos to the author for this amazing piece.
