I think life cannot be easy without my parents. My parents are the ones who supports me physically and financially so it would not be easy without them.

when I was a child I wouldn't have wanted to live with out them. now as an adult I live on my own but they are still there when I need them or just want to visit.

I can't imagine it, especially not now that I am in my early twenties. I know its inevitable but still... I don't really want to think about it.

I grew up without my father, so the idea of him passing is like a stranger passing.

I grew up with my mom. But after a while, she has become a stranger to me. If I had the same view of her as I had as a child, I would say that I couldn't live without her. But this selfish, self centered, arrogant person she has become will be easy to live without.

-- 12 Aug 2017, 12:51 --

Many persons have really great parents and don't realise their value until they hear about or meet someone else's parents.

But no matter how great your parents are. Your life continues after they are gone. It won't be easy at first but it gets easier with time. Especially if you have children of your own. Life must go on.

When I was younger, I was afraid of living without my parents. Now that I am mature, I realized that the lives of my parents are not mine. Besides I am now living without my dad.

Life without my parents is basically so hard. I thank God that they are here willing to guide me even when if I have a life of my own.

I agree. This is a matter of acceptance and letting go.

I have chosen to leave my parents when I still was a teen and life would crash me like an avalanche. No matter what struggles were on my way, it was and always be my life solely and I chose to rely on myself alone.

My mom died last year at 81; I live with my dad who is 89. I am thankful for the many years of loving that they gave me.

My mom's passing was the loneliest experience of my life. But she will always be a happy memory in my heart.

Nowadays, I am the one caring for my dad. Not easy but I cannot imagine being anywhere else.

I do not live with any of my parents; however, I'm very close to them. They are my friends. I cannot imagine my life without their advice, jokes, and help.

Bravo! Sacrificing of not seeing your parents and being away from their canopy is a sign of greatness. You will go a long way.

I've lived without a dad for as long as I can remember which is pretty long, but I never felt the emptiness because my mom was both mom and dad. But I cannot fathom a life without my mom. She's my rock.

In my perspective, I can say that yes, I can live without my parents given that I was raised without both of them. My Dad died before I was born and my Mom lived abroad most of my life. I didn't have a hard time since I have other family members that are more than willing to share some love.

Honestly, life would be harder because I would have to pick up on responsibilities they left behind. I would have to take care of my siblings and my elderly grandparents without my parents help. It would be very hard to work full time and take care of so many people. I could do it, but it would be very hard.
