Improving my English writing skills

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

You can enroll in online/offline Eng course. Reading can also help.

Hey there, if I was to take an IELTS I would prepare myself by browsing through the format of the exam and getting as much scope as possible. From this IELTS website: http://www.ielts.org, under the "about the test" tab, they cover the test formats from listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The website also guides you on what you are expected to know pertaining to the content of the exam, for example, that cohesion and coherence will be assessed on the writings you will be submitting.
So, I think the easier approach to your preparation would be focusing on one concept at the time, as in, try master cohesion, and then move to coherence, and so on... All the best, you still got time. Cheers!

Hey, I am not sure if there are any available financial aids, but what you could do is go to the ielts website address and click the "contact us" link, scroll down and click the "online enquiry form." Then you can fill the form and ask if there are any available financial aids like scholarships.
All the best, cheers!

hi. when u want to study for exams there is template or curriculum for the exam that will help you know what to study, what to expect in the exam. so i believe what u need now is study guide on IELTS. As for learning to improve books will help but what will help the most is knowing the rules governing what u want to learn. All the best.

I would read as much as you can while also writing. Reading the classics in English will help with writing.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

I do not know if you can find a webpage that tests your English for free. Nonetheless, there are some webpages that you can use to improve your English. You need to make some time to search them on the internet.

For instance,
http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/test-your-english/
http://www.stuff.co.uk/toefl.htm

Beside, you can enroll in courses online (MOOC).
For instance,
https://www.edx.org/
https://www.coursera.org/

I hope this helps you!

Reading good books, learning 5 new words from a dictionary and using it in a sentence, journaling and watching movies, conversing in English all help in improving English skills.
