Will you go see The Fate of the Furious?

Post by Sarah_Khan »

Are any of you planning to go see The Fate of the Furious at the cinema? Personally, I've watched the last two at the cinema but I don't think I'll be going to watch this one.
I would love to hear your opinions! :)

I have never really had much of an interest in the series of movies, so I will pass on this one as well.

Yes I will. I have been a fan since the beginning. I love the fast cars and dangerous stunts, but what I love most is how much family is important!! It's not the same without Paul Walker but I still love the series.

I've been a fan since day one when I went to go see it with a group of friends. When I was in high school we would go see them in theaters, but now we just wait until they come out on DVD. Personally, I think that my husband just wants to watch them over and over again.

No. They were always kind of cheesy, but judging from the trailer they upped the cheese to 11 in this one. I've heard some critics say that the series really improved after the fourth or fifth movie, but I just don't see it.

Even though they still have a huge and loyal fan base, I thought these movies should have ended already. My dad will probably drag me with him to watch it but truthfully, I'd rather not.

Agree. I'm not saying they should have ended just because of Paul Walker's death, but it would have been a good place to finish things. I'm afraid that without him it will just be like the third movie from here on out.

I have to say I agree with you. I have been a fan of the series, but I felt like the last movie was too cheesy and unrealistic, and people only talked about it favorably because of Paul Walker. That is why I'm on the fence about the new one, the trailer doesn't exactly make me want to see it. :P

I think you're referring to "The Fast and the Furious" series. This is now on it's eight series. I have been a Paul Walker fan but have grown to idolize him especially when my country, the Philippines, suffered from a Category 5 Cyclone that leveled a large swath of land. No house or building was left standing in its path  . Actor Paul and his friends held a fund-raiser program to help the victims, who were my fellow countrymen. It was in that fund-raiser program where he was leaving when Paul Walker died in a car crash. Many Filipinos cried when he died. And we will keep on watching The Fast and Furious just because of this...

Oh lord no. I sent hubby and the two sons to go without me. With seven movies in the franchise already and car-obsessed children, I have already seen far more of those movies than any sane person would want to in a lifetime!

I want to see Fate Of The Furious. I was surprised that there was another installment after what happened to Paul Walker. I wonder if there will be a ninth one.

Yes, I will go but only because my hubby & kids will force me to. Its not that I hate the series, just done with it after so many.

No way. I think the last one should have ended the series. I feel like they don't know when to stop. The first three were the best. Even Fast Five was good. But now the story is kind of disappointing. And the fans will definitely feel thw absence of Paul Walker.
