Melhara by Jocelyn Tollefson is an interesting paranormal type book. I only read the sample but just those few chapters captivated my attention to read the complete book. I may do that. If you are into fantasy and adventure I think that you will enjoy this book.

Though the first few sentences (in the first paragraph) are a bit
awkward because of the way characters are introduced (like 'flip the
coin and tell who is next!')

I'm not such a huge fan of stories featuring witches, demons, and the like, but this review really did a great job making a book like this sound appealing! Lots of excitement and a little inter-character chemistry is a great thing.

Thanks so much for the great review! It sounds interesting since you say that you couldn't put it down, it had excitement and adventure. It's been a long, long, long time since I've read a story along those lines. In my younger years I watched all the horror, sci-fi, vampire, put-you-in-a-trance, werewolf, good vs. evil flicks. I will add it to my want to read list and see how I like it. I recently finished "Filthy Witch and Dead Famous" by Pearl Goodfellow, and although it was about witches, murder and mayhem; the feel was totally different and it had lots of humor (to me anyway).

Thank you for the great review. The sample read and review makes a reader want to pick this up and read it in one setting. I love seeing when a reader gets into a plot and just feels that excitement.

Great review! Before reading the sample I had already firmly decided that I would not read this book as I have too many waiting on the sidelines to be read. Here comes the but, but I was hooked immediately and now have the book waiting to be finished.

I like that the character is in her 30s in today's book...appeals to a different audience! I'm happy that sales for this book are being put toward the medial field...so awesome! Great review!
