What books did you buy recently?
This book is for any purchases you have made recently in the book world, including any interesting facts about the book, price bargains and Special Editions.
I will get the ball rolling:
Yesterday, i treated myself to The Kite Runner by Hosseini, i have heard so much praise about this book that i decided to add it to my TBR list. I also have A Thousand Splendid Suns to read as well. In addition i bought On The Road by Jack Kerouac, its one of the "50 Books to Read Before You Die" so as long as im alive, i want to cross it off my list!
Any you, what have you bought?

'Room' by Emma Donoghue .... Booker nomination so have to be able to be opinionated about it!
'The Infinities' by John Banville ... because I love his writings
'The Einstein Girl' by Philip Sington .... because I liked the cover (I really am incredibly shallow)
'Ethan Frome & Other Stories' by Edith Wharton because I like her stuff
'The Greek & Roman Myths' by Philip Matyszak because I am interested in mythology & you just have to feel this book ... Blue & Gold cover it just begged me to take it home & cherish it.
'Broadcast Talks' by C S Lewis .... I've been in love with him since childhood and I got it cheap in The Winding Stair bookshop in Dublin ... are you familiar with that shop Stephenkingman?
The TBR Pile = Life, Jim but not as we know it!

Actually, it makes most sense to me that they intended to say "kiddy" or "kiddie" books.I would imagine kitty books mean chick lit or books which deal with strong emotion? But thats just a guess, could be wrong....
Seems like an insult in a sense to me... But since no one knows for sure, I refrain comments.
Right before I left for the airport I bought Kim Harrison's Black Magic Sanction. The 8th in her The Hollows series.
