Icon Hi, My name is Jacky.

Post by JG_theBrunette »

My name is Jacky, I'm 27 years young and eager to get back to my reading habits. I've missed reading and now that I am in such a better place in life, happily married, I feel I can finally pick up a book again and read at peace.

I love most genres, I don't discriminate, so if you have a recommendation please do not hesitate to share. Especially if its a book that you can't help, but share! I love when book makes you feel moved or thrilled in any way. And I'm also keen on short stories.

I, myself am an open book. If we can be friends, why not?

I hope you all are having a beautiful day! :coffee3-smiley:

Welcome to the club, Jacky! :text-welcomewave:

It's good to hear that you are back to reading books again.

I will recommend you two books that I feel you will love. Because you are open to all genres, I won't disclose their genres. It's best that you read these books without knowing anything about them in advance.
1. The unlikely pilgrimage of Harold Fry By Rachel Joyce.
2. Roadside Picnic By Arkady Strugatsky and Boris Strugatsky.

Happy Reading :reading-2: :tiphat:

@Mindful Wordsmith Thank you so much!
I appreciate the recommendations!

I am currently going through a small list I've set up for myself, however once I do get the chance I will purchase these books you've mentioned.

Happy Reading!
