Mister Pushkin Sees The Light is a children’s book written by AC Michael. This story revolves around the adventures of an adorable cat named Mister Pushkin. He is a Russian blue cat with golden eyes.

This is the first book of The Tales of Mister Pushkin series that contains 12 tales and is 134 pages long. Mister Pushkin, is not an ordinary cat. He is smart, witty, and intuitive, who loves his owner, Klem. Klem, on the other hand, is possessive about Mister Pushkin and does not let him move around anywhere without his supervision. Well, it is extremely hard for cats, especially for Mister Pushkin to stay at a place all the time. So, he uses all his tactics and intelligence to escape and stray around. Now, it is interesting to see how Mister Pushkin does it; will Klem be able to find this out?

First of all, I must say that this is quite an entertaining book for kids, and even as an adult, I had a great time reading it. My most favorite character in the book has to be Mister Pushkin. He is a very smart and playful cat. I enjoyed reading his internal dialogues. One of my favorite tales is “Mister Pushkin & The Copycat.” A scene in this tale where Mister Pushkin thinks that the other cat looks fat and has to be put on a diet made me laugh hard. Another plus point of this book is the vocabulary used by the author. It is neither too simple nor too complex. It helps children to understand easily and also learn a few new words at the same time. For example, daft, halitosis, etc.

There is nothing major that I disliked about this book. But it would have been better for me if there were colorful illustrations in it. Illustrations would have made this book much more attractive for kids.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. This seems to be professionally edited, as I did not find any errors. With that being said, I rate Mister Pushkin Sees The Light 4 out of 4 stars.

This book is suitable for children between the age of 8 to 13 years. I also recommend this to parents and teachers who can narrate the stories to the kids.

This conflict between the owner and a cat sounds like an entertaining read. I liked your suggestion of adding some illustrations to the story. Great review!

Mister Pushkin is beautiful. I don't think ordinary cat is a thing. My cat certainly isn't ordinary. This sounds cute.

This seems like a nice book for children, great for parents who like to read to their children, for teachers for a school reading, or as a gift to a child. Thank you for your terrific review!

I wonder why illustrations were not included. Obviously, other elements in the book must have made up for this. Thanks for a lovely review.

Sounds like a mission impossible trying to ground a cat. Let's see how Mr Pushkin gets some fun for himself. Thank you for the terrific review and recommendation.

Thanks for your informative review. I agree that pets shouldn't be confined in the house all the times. Cats and dogs like to be free, so I can understand Mr. Pushkin's need to sneak out and stray around.
