Daniel Friedmann and Dania Sheldon write a remarkable book, The Biblical Clock: The Untold Secrets Linking the Universe and Humanity with God’s Plan, explaining the universe and evolution are not incompatible arguments. The authors clarify that today, we understand how things happened, what happened, and when it happened to utilize science and religion-based knowledge.

The only things science cannot explain are the instant before the Big Bang theory began to work, the Earth's age, and the human soul. These things, most scientists believe, were not created by natural law but by Divine Intervention.

The authors used the Big Bang Theory, solar system studies, and fossil records to create timelines aligning critical events to the creation narrative found in the Book of Genesis. Research on the biblical side, Mr. Friedmann uses Genesis text, Talmud, and a time conversion formula first created by Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan in 1979.

The book also includes easy to understand charts, pictures, and graphs to illustrate timelines showing where scientific findings and biblical events match. Furthermore, analogies are used to explain such things as the Earth's age compared to human measurements. Mr. Friedmann's most exciting find is the time-conversion formula to convert Divine time to human time, which according to his calculations, line up almost exactly.

The book is written well, and one does not need to have a degree in science or physics to understand the book's central argument and its intended goal. Each chapter is meticulously researched and documented, and the terms are linked to a glossary for definition. The information delivered in the book is both inspiring and engaging. The book appeals to readers who are inquisitive about what the book of Genesis says about creation compared to what scientific theories state. What distinguishes this book from others on the universe's design is the utilization of details from the Book of Genesis to parallel major human events except for those created by the Creator himself.

Overall, the book is a fascinating read written by a Physics engineer and Jewish scholar who throughout his life has often wondered whether biblical teachings of the origins of the universe could be compared to the scientific theory of the Big Bang. The quest to find answers is also spurred on by young people who often ask questions about creating the universe and science. This question became essential to him because young people today tend to believe science has all the answers, making the Bible irrelevant. What Mr. Friedmann wants young and old to understand is that the Bible has the answers to questions that remain unanswered by science.

I find this book inspirational, thought-provoking, and easy to comprehend, and I cannot wait to read his previous books. I like and recommend this book to everyone interested in learning how the Book of Genesis reveals the blueprint of creation using scientific theories and mathematics. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it is professionally written, edited, and enlightening.
