Review by Elvis Best -- Love, Grandma by Ann Morris
Love, Grandma is a wonderful children’s book written by Ann Morris. The story follows Grandma and her two lovely granddaughters, Payton and Haley, as they bake cookies, play hair salon, play in the backyard, build tent houses with blankets, and so much more. The entire book is a collection of fond memories and a story of deep affection shared between a grandmother and her granddaughters.
Ann Morris started writing Love, Grandma as a way to remind her granddaughters, who are all grown up now, of all the fun they had when they were kids. As such, the storyline feels real and relatable, and it reminded me of my own childhood.
All in all, I had fun reading Love, Grandma, as the storyline was simple and easy to follow. I believe kids will enjoy the book very much, as it will remind them of all their favorite fun activities. Furthermore, the illustrations were colorful, fun, and engaging. Every activity described in words had an accompanying illustration, and this made it easy to engage with the book.
Kids would definitely enjoy looking at all the fun activities in Love, Grandma. Parents and grandparents would also appreciate the book, as it will give them new fun activities to do with their children and grandchildren. As a result, I recommend Love, Grandma to all parents, grandparents, and children between the ages of four and six.
Written in rhyme, the book takes the reader on an exciting journey. I must commend the author on her writing style, which I believe will appeal very much to kids. The simplicity of the language used is also worth mentioning. Indeed, the book was written to engage and entertain kids.
Considering the aforementioned points, I rate Love, Grandma 4 out of 4 stars. There was nothing to dislike about it, and I believe it was exceptionally edited, as I found no errors in it.
