I really only baked until I went to college. I cooked eggs, stuff like that, but didn't make 'proper' meals. Even in college, I cooked a bit more, but instead of making meat/veggies/starch for every meal, I'd eat all brussels sprouts for one meal, all cooked meat for the next, etc...

I loved baking books, got lots of inspiration from them, but all the cookbooks I've looked at have just been so repetitive. I'd love to find a really good one one day.

I started helping my mom cook and bake when I was in late elementary school. I fully started preparing all of our supper meals for the family when I was 17 because my mom worked late.

I probably started helping mom at so young age. However, I baked my very first dish, my family recipe´s chocolate cake, at ten. I cook for myself now. There is always something new to learn and try.

I started at age 6, I had to learn from an Aunt when I visited for the holiday. The salt in my first meal was epic.

I started very young... probably when I had 10 years, I guess. Starting with rice! But now I really enjoy making desserts. :)

I started cooking when I was in 7th grade so 13. My Mom worked and my older brother and sister were both off to college. So it was up to me to get dinner on the table for myself, younger brother and Mom. Our Dad had passed away at a young age of 49 from a heart attack. The widow maker type.

I have always enjoyed cooking. Especially if I have time for it. I don’t care to share cooking with my spouse as our cooking styles are different. I’m more of a cook what we have on hand type where he is a I have to have those exact ingredients type. I sub a lot of ingredients making a recipe more my own. If I don’t have or don’t like a particular ingredient I will swap it for something else. But anymore I just want to cook what’s quickest to prepare.

I started cooking proper food at the age of 12. Before that, I had an interest in cooking because I thought that it was fun, but I later learned that it was disguised torture.

I had to start cooking my own meals when I was 5. My mom always worked so I had to cook supper for my siblings and I from the time I could push buttons on a microwave. I didn't learn to properly cook until years later when my grandmother started teaching me.
