Sounds like a compelling and immersive read. This book is longer than I usually read, but I might give it a try. Thanks for the great review!

I love storylines that feature in some investigative work and one whose detectives don't get everything "waiting for them".
Great review!

a mansion full of secrets. What more could you want?
Indeed, what more could I want? Thank you for this well written review. What a great premise and houseful of guilty suspects! Sounds like a great read.
We’re gonna need a bigger bookshelf.

Family drama and a bit of crime sound interesting. I do wonder why they are so intent on adopting one child and ignoring the other. Thanks for your review.

I got nervous when I saw how long the book is, but your explanation convinced me to give it a try. Your summary is great, and the disclaimers are definitely worth noting. Thank you for your review!

A book loaded with family drama, crime thriller with a hint of twist and set in in a massion. With well developed characters. Joan seams to be a very strong character and suspect too. Would really like to read the book to discover what happened to Rachel. Great review here especially to the comment that the book though lengthen, your interest was never waned due to the author's ability to leave little bread crumbs of information here and there. Thank you for review and recommendations.

This sounds like a page-turner! I love a good mystery and I am very curious about what happened to Rachael! I would probably have a difficult time with the extremely violent scenes, too, but I am tempted to try this one out! I like the storyline. Thanks for another excellent review!

This is an informative and thorough review, of which I enjoyed reading.. and this book sounds like a captivating thriller, the likes of which I have not read in some time! Even with what seems like quite dark themes; I think it's time to get lost again in something like this again for a while.
