Dorothy May Mercer's E-M-P Honeymoon is a unique story of a newly-wed couples set in Honduras island. EMP means Electro-Magnetic Pulse lying in LEO (Low Earth Orbit); man made objects in space is in LEO. What if the attack came from the space? How can a nation will be able to handle this problem?

Kelly accidentally found a strange high-tech laboratory in a tiny gift shop called La Pocilga, which means The Pigsty, during her tour. The shop had a dozen displays of toy pigs. Tom, Kelly's husband together with a dive boat explores the wonderful coral reefs; he had no idea what happen to his wife. Kelly has been caught, but was able to escape. Sad to say, the tour bus was on the way to the next tour stop. The only thing she had in her mind was to call her brother, Senator Mike McBride. Meanwhile, the captors of Kelly did not hesitate to look for her for she might tell the authorities about the terrorist activities. How can the couple still enjoy their honeymoon when they are trapped in a nation's dilemma?

One of Miss Mercer's best assets in creating this novel is the twist and turns in each chapter; it makes me hook up to the end of the story. Every twist of the scenes, I longed to finish the book as early as possible, but my time is limited. The plot of the story is quite likable, and science-fiction lovers will tend to enjoy this novel. The well-developed character is a plus, like the appearance of Steve. Steve was sent to help, but to whom? I was more engrossed in reading to follow suit the next scene of Steve for the author made his character a humorous one. However, I am a bit confused between Steve and Sky in one of their conversations. Steve was doing the 'lifting of an object', but the addressee of the action was Sky, instead of Steve.

In helping a nation, I am stunned between the coordination of the spy, CIA and Senator Mike McBride's secret agent through Cynthia's leadership, his personal security head staff. Furthermore, the merging of four teams in creating the Team USA in Honduras to fight against the terrorist is very impressive. Good to know that Miss Mercer is good at plotting political highlights, which is not far from the true events. I did say to myself, indeed, it is not easy to become a president, and yet, naysayers are always close-minded.

E-M-P Honeymoon is well-edited with only minor typos. The flow of the story runs smoothly and the twist and turns were easy to follow, which made me rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. Miss Mercer weaves this tale not just merely for a novel, but also it contains educational information, like the 'Solar Flares' impinge on earth. The author includes major theme like terrorism, space coordination and especial force to fight against terrorist attacks, too.
