I enjoyed the review as much as I did the book sample that I read.
I like the vivid presentation of the plot and characters, and I agree with the opinions expressed. I, too, read the sample chapters right away and I am sure it will be the same with the rest of the book. I am a bit reluctant about the graphic part and hope there will be a happy ending. And I also keep my fingers crossed for Kalin Taylor.

I love the idea of a human rights theme. That made the book sound very appealing. However, the writing in the sample was not hooking me. Will look twice at this one, though.

I absolutely love the description of how it felt when reading this book.
it's one of those books that you read with morbid fascination. You almost want to cover your eyes because you don't know if you can stand it. Something, though, pulls you back to the pages. You keep reading, though it's almost with one eye shut.
The idea of mass cloning to generate free labor through slavery along with the abuse and violation of human rights is a book that has a potential to be our future is intriguing. I look forward to reading it. Awesome review!

Wow! The plot does seem unique here. A suspenseful science fiction with cloning as a central subject is something I haven't come across yet. Also, I like that the book has a diverse set of characters. Thank you for your engaging and entertaining review. I truly enjoyed reading it.

I totally agree. I should have thought of that as one of the main ideas of the book when I wrote my comment. :techie-reference:

Cloning sounds like a great subject for a sci-fi novel. It has an interesting premise and it's set on a space ship, so I'm definitely intrigued.

Human cloning is always an interesting subject. Taboo, but very interesting and mix it up with a science fiction plot and theme definitely my kind of book. Thanks for a marvelous review and eye opener.

A fast-paced science-fiction thriller with themes of human rights, slavery, and abuse. It has well-developed characters and an easy-to-read writing style! A must-read for fans of the genre. Not for me, though. Thank you for the detailed review!

Cloning is a little-addressed and little-discussed threat on so many levels. If a fiction book can bring some awareness about the possible ramifications, so much the better. I'm glad this sci-fi book was well written. I enjoyed your review.

Clones and cloning have been an issue of moral and ethical debate for a long time. It will be interesting to see how the author uses the subject. Great review!

Thanks for the excellent review! I'm kind of on the fence right now about reading this one. I don't usually care for sci-fi but your review piqued my interest, and the sample I read left me wanting to read more, yet not sure if I could! The action started right away with the escape of Project Tau and sped through the sample. I'm adding this book to my shelves as a want to read. I appreciate the insightful review.

I would have liked to read a novel belonging to the genre of genetic engineering sci-fi, but I was put off by the use of profanities and the graphic scenes of violence. Too bad for the alert rhythm of the story and the quick exchanges between the characters! Thanks for your review, though.

I just find myself running from anything about clones. Just the thought of it bothers me so much. It’s too real, and like you said here, it’s happening already. This “fiction” scares the tar out of me worse than horror type content, so far now, I’m passing on this. And of course, in the opening pages of this, two have escaped! Nope! Thanks for the deeper insight on this one.

Despite the futuristic nature, the strength of the story lies in its thought provoking quality. Themes of human rights, slavery, and abuse fill the pages. It's a story I thought about long after I finished reading; honestly, it's one of those books that you read with morbid fascination. You almost want to cover your eyes because you don't know if you can stand it. Something, though, pulls you back to the pages. You keep reading, though it's almost with one eye shut.
I rarely enjoy sci-fi, but I like thought-provoking books and the issues you mention are important to ponder and, unfortunately, still current problems.
I also applaud that there's good character development, I find it's an often overlooked feature in sci-fi books.
Thank you for your enthusiastic review!
