I would love to have a sit down with Marilyn Manson. While he is known mostly for his theatrical and often shocking stage performances, if you sit down and carefully listen to the songs that he writes, it's pretty much pure brilliance. He pulls from his own experiences, classic literature, and political topics that make the listener question their ideas about what they believe themselves. His use of symbolism and metaphor, not to mention pure wit, makes him one of the greatest songwriters of our time. And if you can't bring yourself to make it through one of his songs to test this, his interviews are also gems of insight and eloquence. Picking his brain about art and the importance of challenging the system would be a very enlightening evening.

This is so very true, and I'm glad someone else agrees. He is talented beyond belief and the way he writes songs is so intriguing! I would love to have even just an hour to pick his brain.

You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.
When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!
Emily Dickinson
