The classroom is neatly organized, windows embroidered with colorful curtains, and the sound of the wind whistles and echo throughout the classroom. Amber is excited about the day. What’s the occasion? Amber, together with her classmates, is to engage in the art of painting. Unfortunately, Amber forgot to bring her watercolors. So she decides to borrow from her classmates without revealing her favorite color. What trick does she use so as not to reveal her favorite color?
What’s Your Favorite Color? by Amber L Lassiter is a well-elaborated narrative that will interest children between ages 4 and 8 years. Parents can also find the book useful for educating their children. Additionally, the story is written in the first-person point of view. The language used can be easily understood by the targeted readers. Moreover, the artworks are glamorous and colorful, and they reflect well on the theme of the story. Reading the book is like lifting an empty box for the fact that the contents are lightly penned. There are questions incorporated in the book that I find helpful in the sense that it encourages the reader to be open-minded and reasonable.
I love the clear illustration of beautiful artworks featured in the book that ties in fairly with the narrative. This helps the reader to have a clear picture of the scenes or events. As I mentioned earlier, the language used is clear and easy-to-understand, which I find beneficial for the targeted readers because they’ll be in a position to draw key objectives from the narrative. Furthermore, I didn’t encounter any grammatical errors. The character interaction is quite appealing. Ultimately, the plot development is exceptional.
I enjoyed reading the book and I didn’t find anything to dislike whatsoever.
The story teaches readers about being secretive and generous.
With all that said, I award the book a 4 out of 4 stars. It’s exceptionally edited, less tedious, and has valuable moral lessons.
