Darwin is an orphan, who lived with his aunt in Pittsburgh. He joins his cousin, Luther (a rich and famous footballer) in New York, following his aunt’s illness. Darwin’s new guardian, Luther, is a piece of work. His hostile behavior draws people away from him, including his family members. Will he care for Darwin’s education, career and physical needs? Darwin is intelligent and has exceptional work ethics. It’s Darwin’s dream to join a private school and become a Doctor. Will Darwin achieve his goal? If yes, how?
The story highlights aspects like deceit, drama, career, athletics, family, education, abduction, relationships and legal development. The relationships featured in the story are quite interesting. They are dramatic and keeps fluctuating. Furthermore, the effects that divided families have on the members and the flaws present in the education system are vividly explained.
I enjoyed reading the book Guardian of Deceit by William H. Coles. For a moment, I thought I was watching a movie. The author knows how to grip the reader’s attention. The book is fast-paced, full of drama, has notable plot twists and fragments of emotions. The narrative is written in the first and third-person perspective. The switching from first to the third-person narrative isn’t confusing. Moreover, the book is exceptionally edited. The plot and the characters are diligently developed. The author has an incredible imaginative ability. Ultimately, the language used is pure.
The volume has four parts. Part one and two take the reader through Darwin’s fight to gain access to his inheritance. Part three highlights Darwin’s educational, social and career life. Finally, part four narrates about an abduction.
What I like about the story is that it intrigues the reader’s emotions in a good way. Furthermore, I enjoyed an array of vocabulary that I intend to apply.
The story is gripping, captivating, and suspenseful. I didn’t find anything to dislike. The three books that I’ve read, written by the author, none have disappointed my expectations. I’m looking forward to reading the remaining books.
I learned that a point in time we might have doubts about our careers. Also, fame changes people’s image and personality and can affect the way people treat you. And that it takes effort and commitment to build and maintain relationships
I award the book a 4 out of 4 stars. The writing is of high-quality. Remarkably, the author gifted the readers with quality and engaging story.
Readers who love drama and a sprinkle of romance in their stories will enjoy reading the book.
