The Unbound Soul

The Unbound Soul by Richard L. Haight is a spiritual guidance and memoir in which the author writes about his life experiences for example the series of dreams he had where he had to help Jesus Christ that made him take a journey of meditation, exploration of philosophies of consciousness and transformation . Richard also includes explanations and instructions on how one can apply the same concepts in life and transform themselves. The book is divided into four parts; my story, the path, daily unfoldement and the soul and the spirit. The first part of the book; my story, is the author's autobiography which details the author's early life that defined his current path.

The Unbound Soul is a book that can make humanity rise above its differences of race, gender, nationality and religion. It breeds an understanding that we are all souls on a journey of ascension and those differences that we see are mere physical reality regulations that serve no higher purpose. Also, we can take the author's spiritual teachings and implement in our own transformation journey in our daily lives.

On picking this book for review I wasn't sure if it was exactly what I needed. I am glad that I choose to read The Unbound Soul because it is a good solid read in that at no stage did I feel confused or did not understand the information as presented by the author. The book is so engaging, inspirational, humorous and has many lessons that are worth implementing.

I loved The Unbound Soul because it's a great book that is able to transform one's life through its riches for instance the author's observation that we worship with our attention primarily. How much of our attention is directed to the self, he asks innocently. Secondly, the author's philosophy of "Isness" sounded so interesting to me. I had no idea that such existed until I read this book. I quote from the book, "Because the word God carries with it so many negative associations, and since this being is beyond the binds of all definition, the word God just felt inadequate to me. I tried to come up with a term that more accurately portrayed its limitlessness. The best one I could come up with was the least defined. It simply Is with no qualifiers, and so I began calling it Isness for lack of a better term." I had no reason to hate this book because it met my expectations.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because its writing style is great in that it keeps one wanting to read on and on. Secondly, the book was well edited yet it was self-published, a rare character in self-published books. I could not have rated it 3 out of 4 stars because the book was exceptionally well edited. This book is perfect for all ages and I recommend it to anyone who needs spiritual guidance.

I've read a lot of reviews of this book and in each one of them just like in this one, the author seems very determined to find his answers maybe I should read his discoveries.
