I tried everything that they offered with no relief. In desperation, I turned to natural medicines, and my life got 1000% better. However, I have seen lies about the herbs that I use. Flat out lies. Big pharma doesn't want you to know that there are natural cures out there that are MORE effective than theirs with LESS side effects. Why? Because they make BILLIONS of dollars. They can't patent natural medicine. They can't make money off of it. So, are there other treatments that will cure cancer? Yes! I'm positive of it.
Though I still have faith in traditional medicine because my family has been in the medical field since then, these words ring true. I have seen Medicine as a field for almost half my life, and I can't deny the fact that it is polluted with political and corporate greed. Sometimes I wonder why these people even call themselves doctor when all they care about is exploiting money.
I know I come across as harsh and cynical. Sadly, it's because I am. I've seen medicine fail so many people. I know there are those that trust doctors implicitly.
I can't blame them for trusting though. Doctors are supposed to be smart and can cure you, but what others don't know is that it doesn't work for some of the doctors. Some did not do it for passion, they do it for money and status. Can't blame you also for being harsh about it because I feel the same way about their greed.

I have lost loved ones to cancer. I think if someone can't tolerate chemo and/or radiation, then trying an alternative therapy certainly can't hurt. I know I would have done anything to help my mother if I had known there were other options out there.

I am so sorry for your loss, however there is a very effective way to rid cancer for good. It is a raw vegan diet, however it has to be 100% and therefore very restrictive but the reward is worth it. Patients can see most of the disease vanish in the first 2 weeks.

I am certain that there are a multitude of natural remedies for many if not all of our diseases out there that God has gifted us with. It is just getting them to be more well known and utilized properly that is the big issue currently in our world.

Personally, I use natural remedies even for prevention of sicknesses. I don't really trust some but it surely works. So what the author is suggesting might work.

I would first like to extend my sincerest well-wishes to your mother, and my hope for her and your family that her battle will be as brief and painless as possible.

Regarding herbal and alternative medicines, I have found them to be extremely helpful for all manner of things. I deal with roughly twenty different chronic illnesses that interact in abominable ways and have left me extremely disabled before I even managed to turn twenty-one years old. In the last few years, I have been exposed to a number of different types of treatments both western, non-western, and alternative. I have found that, often, the best approach has been to mix some forms of each of these classes of medicine together to build a tailored plan for myself. For example, rather than take a medication that induces seizures in my intestines to force digestion, I opted for restructuring my diet with an alternative specialist. I now consume meat on very rare occasions, I steer clear of dairy, and I don't consume corn in any form regularly.

I have found that alternative medicines often offer a far less intrusive, less intensive, and safer treatment for multiple symptoms of one or several illnesses. I once met a woman in her seventies, while working as a lifeguard, who had an extremely aggressive form of cancer. When I met her, she looked as healthy as any other average elder, and I asked for her story. She said after months of failed chemotherapy, her western doctor gave her six months to live. She walked away from chemotherapy, met a naturopathic doctor through Bastyr, and began treating her illness holistically. At the time I had met her, her cancer had been in complete remission for two years, and she was alive and kicking six years after her doctor had given her just six months to live.

If nothing else, I find that holistic and natural medicines do more to provide comfort for the body, mind, and spirit than almost any western medicine I have encountered. I have rarely been as impressed by the ability of a highly synthesized pharmaceutical to bring my body comfort and ease my suffering, than as when I have pursued natural methods instead.

I don't think I've heard of a vegan diet that can cure cancer? Can you please elaborate? Or are there any references you know? It can surely help many people if you share the information with us :tiphat:

I don't want to sound like a skeptic, but since cancer is a serious one and lots of fights were lost, has someone already proven this? I mean, can you tell more about the diet? And what do you mean by "most of the disease vanish"? Did the patients undergone an mri or a test to prove this after two weeks?

PS. I'm not attacking anyone, I'm asking because I really want to know. Thank you :tiphat:

I'm sorry to hear about your mom, I can only imagine how you must feel. There's been a lot of research on alternative medicine and I think that if it helps contain the dreaded cancer, then we should try it more.

I don't completely agree with this sentiment (I'm not sure that a vegan diet would "cure" cancer, but it definitely reduces the odds of getting it in the first place), I was actually really amazed that the author did not mention anything about the carcinogens in meats and animal products or even mentioning a vegan diet.

I'm not sure about claims of veganism curing cancer, but there are a lot of carcinogens in meats and animal products, so a vegan diet would at least reduce the chances of cancer some.

I watched some documentary on netflix (either "what the health" or "forks over knives") that talked about how a plant-based whole foods diet was very good for reversing the effects of pre-diabetes (it's been like 2 years since I saw it so I don't remember the specifics). In the documentary, it did include scientific doctor-y test so it felt a bit more believable to me.

The book definitely echoed some of the things that I've heard vegans say about the rich lobbying against the "truth" getting out because it would cost them a lot of money.

I think the main issue when it comes to using natural remedies as an alternative treatment to cancer is how to determine which of them is best suited for the type of cancer, and since it is not FDA approved, setting standards could be really tricky and lots of bad medicine could flood the market if not properly checked.

It does not hurt to try alternative medicine for cancer especially if these methods involve natural stuff. It not only saves money but also saves pain and losses from radiation or chemotherapy.
