I haven't read the book yet, nor am I done with the sample but I think it might make a good movie. There is definetly potential there. But like someone above me said, as long as they dont do it like Taken then it might be worth watching.

The story is pretty drawn out and has quite a few characters involved. It would be hard to fit its plot into a couple of hours unless a large chunk of the details is left out.
I agree. The thought of having to watch Bud come up to Paul's house on a daily basis would put me to sleep.
At least you wouldn't be able to see the grammar errors in a movie.

I think that it will make a great movie. The concept is really well-developed.

I think with the plot it would make a great movie! But, if it is just like most adaptations from book to movie, then it would have quite a bit of the plot and details changed. Which is why I never opt into movie adaptations, even when they could be amazing.

I would fall asleep too. :lol2: :lol2: The grammar errors had me close to pulling my hair out. I am not yet done with the book but there is no sign that they are getting better. :eusa-think:

It is true that the book has everything that will make a good movie. But the question would be how different would it be from the movies that are already in the market hence this would call for some extra work so as to make it more captivating when produced as a movie.

I definitely think so! Although I do agree with a comment I saw on here saying that the writers would have to be careful to avoid making a “Taken” knock-off.

While the author does own the trademark on the mask, do you think a studio would take the risk to make a film with the same mask featured in an iconic horror film and television franchise?

Granted, the genres are very different! I don't know that moviegoers would react positively to it? What do you think?

I think that this would be a great movie as long as the director stays close to the original book. Sometimes, directors will put in romance or sex scenes that take away from the overall enjoyment of the piece. This would be a great suspense film and detective mystery. The first thing that I thought of was Liam Neesen as the father because of the Taken films.

I didn't enjoy the book as much as I would have liked to, but I think it would be an interesting movie.

Oh, I think it would! The casting would be very important to pull together a successful movie, though. You would have to have the right actors in the leading roles.

There are already movies with the same kind of plot or circumstances so I don't see why not make a movie adaptation.

I quite agree, as you can see the movie world is such a place to attract a large number of viewers.

Yours sincerely.
Books are lovely.

Basically, movies would appear as apparent rip-offs of some other movie, and that is because of the proliferation of so many movie-making outfits nowadays, leading to the production of so many films as a result. This should not dissuade a film producer. There could always be a unique point that a movie could capitalize on. Just think of how many recurring-themed movies managed to hold on their grounds. We could recall how many Tarzan movies were there, Kingkong, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Robinson Crusoe, The Mummy, etc. What would be needed is just a distinct selling point that the film could develop on.
