Usually send them to work with my husband and let kids eat them for lunch the next day

Put it in a glass container and freeze it. I usually re-cook them with a different version like soup, fritata, omelette or porridge.

Good question - so much money is wasted in the form of disposed food.

Lately I've been making fried rice with leftover rice, that's usually what's left over. Meat always gets consumed, no worries there.

Or chuck any leftovers into a soup base and add spices and stuff. That usually works.

Sometimes I'll take a batch and freeze it, saves me cooking in the future.

We'll eat leftovers from a previous meal, just warm it up and maybe add another side for variety. Also add fresh salad on the side with every meal. Neither of us have any probs with that.

I try to "revamp" leftovers by using the food in new dishes, e.g. leftover veggies mixed with leftover pasta and some seasoning blended into leftover soup or combining leftover taco meat with pasta from a different night.

If there is so many leftovers I would have to eat it for all three meals for several days and still have some left, I try to freeze it into several smaller portions.

So many of my leftovers end up in fried rice or stir-fry. It's so easy to just chop up left over meat or vegetables and toss it with rice and sauce.

I use leftovers for lunch or dinner. I dont cook again until leftovers are done. That way I dont waste food or energy.

I just actually reheat the food and no spices added unless it is a fried fish. I saute it with tomatoes.

Leftovers are always eaten in my house as for some reason they taste better after you reheat them. They don't last more than a day.
