Icon Children of The Whales *Spoilers Welcome*

Children of the Whales is a manga written by Abi Umeda and was serialized as a Netflix exclusive on March 2018. Going into the manga I didn’t really expect much. The artwork was pretty and it started out decent so I thought I’d give it a go. So I bought it.
Curled up on my couch, I found myself sucked into this new world of war and uncertainty where the whole world for those of this tale is limited to only that of the walls of a floating island (The Mud Whale) on a sea of sand. I found myself reading through all the manga and finished the series before I knew it.
The plot twists that occur are something to look out for. Overall it was a really good experience. I’d recommend this manga as well as the anime.

How close is it to the anime? Would I get anything new out of it if I checked out the manga?

I really liked it too. It was such a beautiful story.

It is an anime already out on Netflix. The first season is already dubbed in English. Most anime tend to add filler episodes to make the seasons longer or remove parts to make it shorter, but I was pleasantly surprised when this anime did neither. Even the characters are all lovable and endearing and the antagonists are understandable to a degree.
