Re: Favourite manga

Im currently in love with My Hero Academia. What interested me the most was the character design because each character was it's own as well as the main character, Deku, not being the special main character off the bat.

What is your favorite manga, that is not well known, and why? Or at least one of the favorites.

My favorite manga is "Candy Color Paradox". I enjoy the amount of humor that is placed into it and the romance. I am a sucker for romantic manga. Of course I have many many more, but I will just keep it at that one. :D

I traveled to Japan in May of this year and actually managed to find a bookstore that had an English section! I came away with the entire DeathNote series, a couple of Inuyasha books, and even a manga version of Les Mis!
I’ve also watched Seven Deadly Sins, Attack on Titan, and Bleach.

Yes Death Note and Inuyasha are must-haves! L Lawliet is one of the most complex characters yet.

Dragonball is a staple, then Naruto and Black Butler, blood Lad, blue Exorcist. Just to name a few...oh One piece is brilliant too. Some spicy manga now and then is good to read.

Yes MHA is an awesome read, made a great anime as well. I love that the strongest is actually the weakest. You cant help but root for them all.

I really need to read One Piece someday. Though since it has many chapters now, it's a bit intimidating.

Dragom ball is the best manga ever, but I agree, One piece, Naruto and Death note are really good too. My guilty pleasure are the first seven mangas of Pokemon adventures!

Two of my lesser known favourite manga are Otoyomegatari (A Bride's Story) and Emma, both from Kaoru Mori. The latter is kind of a manga adaptation of the literary classic, and the former is a historical manga set in the 19th century following the journey of a young woman traveling to marry a young man from another village. It also follows a bunch of genuinely interesting and realistic subplots all set in The Silk Road. I thoroughly recommend both!

I have so many favorite manga it's hard to list them all, but some include
- Tanaka kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge (Tanaka-kun is Always Listless)
- Wotaku ni wa Koi wa Muzukashii (It's Hard to Love an Otaku)
- Kimi to Boku (You and Me)
- Sotsugyousei (High school Graduate)
These are mostly shoujo and slice of life if you're interested in checking them out!
