Fantastic review, Miriam! It sounds like this book was rather disappointing and unprofessional on some fronts, and the anti-government undertones are a little worrying. Thanks for the great insight, it doesn't seem like it's worth spending the money for at this point.

Hello there! Thanks for the compliment. I only hope the DAVita people can get their act together. I don't want the three-year effort wasted.

Ooops! Hate is such a strong word. The book hopes to teach peace.

Devita did a good job by espousing farewell sentiments for love and peace. But her featured personalities are limited. There are many people in the other parts of the world who played their role in establishing peace. Thanks for your informative review. You can check out my review, if you like.

Thanks, Sarah Tariq, for reading and leaving a thoughtful comment. Peace is hard work: we all need to peace together. One of the quotes in the book goes, "You don't fight for peace. You peace for peace." This is attributed to David Icke.

My first review of the reviews (meta? )as just joined. I really enjoyed your review, insightful and looking at the pros and cons of the work itself. I particularly liked the reference at the end to the quote by Abe Lincoln. "I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends.” Very apt for online especially.

I'm busy with my work and with the reviews.

It takes an exceptional editorial skill to compress or stitch up literary work like Art of Peace, which deploys non-linear plot structure as professionally done by the reviewer. I am not a fan of disjointed narratives despite its few benefits. Art for Peace could be passed for an encyclopedia of wise saying and research report stretches back to the Greek World, running through the Twentieth Century and fused into literary work. On a personal note, a list of this kind, devoid of John F. Kennedy is insufficient owning to his contribution to humanity and racial justice. I have always maintained that a review that embraces the strengths and weaknesses of a subject matter and possibly peeps into the underlined motifs is classic. Hence, the reviewer deserves more than a round of applause. Furthermore, her familiarity with the terrain in which the author navigates makes the review more concrete and compelling. However, an examination of narrative techniques and other components of literary criticism would have added some sparks. A great work Miriam.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Festus. I believe there were a few quotes from JFK in the book.
