I like your suggestion about organizing the material in the book. With the dizzying array of information, it sounds like this book desperately needs some sort of organization of thought (like alphabetical bios as you mentioned). I also agree that the pro cannabis message might make this book more appropriate for adult readers, because many of the eighth graders I've worked with already regularly abuse marijuana (they do not need more encouragement!).
