Do you know that Henley wrote Invictus in his hospital bed while being treated for tuberculosis of the bone. One of his legs had to be amputated. The poem was untitled when first published. The title Invictus was given by an editor in a much later publication. Invictus is Latin for unconquered. The poem has inspired many, both heroes and heels alike.

See? That's exactly why biographical sketches are important. The story behind the story (or the poem, quote, etc.) is more moving. I didn't know this story, but now that I do, it makes me appreciate Invictus even more.Miriam Molina wrote: ↑07 Feb 2018, 11:39 You must have joined declamation contests, too!

This could've been the best goal to achieve, if growing of Marijuana is not mentioned. The book’s purpose is to “inspire current and future generations to learn from the wisest and bravest souls that walked this earth.”
So sad about the drawbacks you mentioned, especially the risk of plagiarism.
This is such a majestic review. Congratulations!

For the record...you can't get high off of hemp. I know more than a few people who have tried

I've never tried. But one of the messages in the book says that you need to smoke a telephone-pole-long roll of cannabis to get high. This is from one of those who supports the legalized growing of the useful plant.

As for the book itself, I agree with some others that it doesn't seem to be for me. But you've provided an excellent source of information about it. Great review!
