The X-Files comic books

Post by bluegreenmarina »

Anyone read the X-files comics? I think they're on season 11 now? What do you think of them as they compare to the tv series? I appreciate how they seem to capture the tone of the characters pretty well.

I actually just started both the show and reading the comics. To be honest I feel like the comics is better, the ideas are crisp, so is the art and it really draws you in, whilst in the show, even though I started from the beginning I was lost a couple of times on the first episode.

I didn't know that there was a series of X-Files comics. I used to love the show when I was a teenager! Maybe I should check these out!

I never knew they made comics of The X-Files! I will have to look into buying and reading these. I love the show on t.v. so I bet I will love the comics.

I didn't even know it was a comic, wow you learn something new everyday. I've never consistently sat down to watch it, but the episodes I've seen have been really creepy.

Yesterday I read X-Files Annual Issue 1, aka, Hallow Eve. It derives from the concept of Mitochondrial Eve, the theory of all people deriving from a single woman. It combines this with elements of extra-biblical lore in the character of Lilith. Although it doesn't spell that part out. The story has a lot of interesting elements, but I wanted the ending to be different. Maybe that's my own subjective preferences.
