Archie # 1 (Comic 2015) by Mark Waid

Post by 2kasmom »

I tried out the new Archie comic. It was interesting. Same basic story with a more modern twist. I am not sure where it will go as it implied Veronica will be more important than Betty. I am more pro-Betty so the 2nd episode may make or break it for me.

The color was good, and I loved that I could read it on my kindle. I am getting used to the digital format and I like reading it on my HD tablet. I just hope the content gets more loyal from the original storyline.

Has anyone else seen this? What did you think?

I always enjoyed the plot in Archie but the tension between Betty and Veronica upset me very soon...He needs to pick one and the other needs to move on with her life.

I used to read lots of Archie comics before. I love Jughead and Betty. Jughead is really amusing even though he is such a glutton. As for Betty, she is so dependable, sweet and down to earth. I hate Veronica for being shallow and a snub. And I also hate Reggie for being conceited. Archie's just an okay guy. Nothing's so special about him. I wonder why Betty and Veronica is so crazy about him.

I've watched the series Riverdale. Is it worth it to pick up the comic?

I used to read Archie comics a lot growing up and I'm also pro Betty. I will check it out but they better not throw Betty under the bus or match her with the food loving Jughead.

I've always liked Betty more than Veronica! She's more earthy and accessible. Is anyone following the Riverdale show?
