Review: Filmish by Edward Ross

Post by Dramasylum »

The author has a clever way of exploring various aspects through film by capturing moments from classic and recent films in comic book style format. The film selections help to prove his points and really convey a beginning introduction to the art of film making.

Wow, I certainly haven't read a graphic novel that's like that before! Sounds intriguing! :D

I loved this book. It was like reminiscing when I spotted familiar film symbolism and iconography, and I learned about the history of film. He's writing one about the history of gaming at the moment which I'm really excited about!
