Black Butler

Post by -denisesmith- »

Black Butler from the show to the manga I fell in love with it. I love how Ciel and Sebastian, Grell well all of them my favorites are Ciel and Sebastian. Ciel is just to cute for words and Sebastian is so amazing you can't put them in words.
Only two kinds of people existed this world; those who steal and those who are stolen from. So then, today, I just stole your future. That's all.-Ceil Phantomhive

I've heard some good things about Black Butler. If I come across the manga or show, I'll give it a try.

My friend absolutely loves Black Butler. She even gifted me with a drawing of Ciel she drew herself and colored it with sharpies. I've only read the first several chapters. I first tried to watch the anime, but I didn't connect to the characters. I like the manga better than the anime, though I do suppose I like to hear the character's voices come to life, simply because the manga are always more detailed and don't cut out background stories.

Big fan of the manga!!
The anime is Ok but I tend to like each new season making Book of Circus my current favorite (haven't watched Book of Murder yet!)
Super excited about them animating the Atlantic Arc since that's when we get a taste of what could possibly be the plot of the series and some character development

I wouldn't say I like the series because of the story or anything because I seriously have no idea where things are going (there are just so many arcs that feel like filler) but I LOVE the art and just all the arc are fun if a bit weird when you think about it. I find that the manga is much darker and Ciel more on the evil side which i totally enjoy!

I agree that the story seems to be going all over the place recently... It's like the author is trying to draw it out but she's running out of ideas. However, the plot twists and Ciel's schemes are always a great surprise!

I never read the manga but watched the anime and fell in love. My favorite was Trancy and I even cosplayed as a gender crossed Trancy one year at a convention. Such an awesome manga/anime!

I absolutely love Kuroshitsuji. At first I was in love with Sebastian, but I quickly fell head over heels for Undertaker.
My favorite arc is the Book of Atlantic because it's SO exciting and we get to know more about Undertaker from that point; after that, it has to be the Circus arc.

I honestly haven't read up to the book of Atlantis arc, but the movie just came out here in Japan!
I'm so tempted to see it... but then again, maybe it's just easy to wait for subs online. ^^;

Sadly, I've only watched the anime, and I hear that veered off from the manga a bit. Hopefully it isn't just something given glory because of the really young fan base. :eusa-think:

I enjoy reading this manga! It's one of my favorites
Did you know it was orginally suppose to be yaoi? The editor didn't like the idea of the homosexual and pedophile theme so it became what it is today. It's still a great manga though. I enjoy reading fan fictions based off it.

That... does not surprise me at all. :|
Even if it's not "official," things are still heavily hinted at. I actually appreciate series that deal with heavier subjects, such as homosexuality, transgendered lifestyle, abortion, etc.
I think that's why I liked the Jack the Ripper arc so much. :eusa-think:

I love it! I've mostly watched the anime and read a little bit of the manga. And also some fanfictions as well.
