I love V for Vendetta. The art is great and the fact that you can read it and hear what the text is supposed to sound like makes it all the better.

I have never read this book nor watched the movie. I feel that if I watch the movie I would lose my drive to read the book because the movie is a probably a huge spoiler, though of course probably not a full representation of the actual book.

Never read it, only saw the movie. Thought that was amazing. The plot was highly appreciatable for me in today's world. Might read it someday.

I love this graphic novel! I liked the movie too, which was well done, but the graphic novel is far better in my opinion.

I haven't read the graphic novel, but I've seen the movie, which I kind of liked it despite some exaggerations in terms of V's capabilities (for the relative seriousness of the plot, way too superheroish, and yes, I know what kind of material Alan Moore writes) and the conception of anarchism as a system capable of functioning (once again, I know which is the political ideology of Mr. Moore). I'm surprised that no one here has mentioned the large number of parallels with "1984" by George Orwell.

I love the movie, so to know that the comic book (which came first) is just as good, is all I needed to know. Thanks, I'm going to read it now.

I've been meaning to read V for Vendetta for a while now. Heard from a few friends that I shouldn't expect it be at the same level as Watchmen, though. Thoughts on this?

Really helpful especially for someone like me because I do not read so much of the item but someone close to me does

I've actually only watched the movie V for Vendetta and I really enjoyed it. Never thought there was a comic to it. Maybe I'll get to reading it sometime soon! Good to know

You might be surprised! The endings of the book and the movie differ a bit. But do what you think is best! :tiphat:

I've loved this story ever since my brother showed it to me years ago but I can't help but feel like it gets more and more tangible every time I go back to it. Maybe it's because I'm older now and can better grasp the political and philosophical leanings of it. But I also live in North American and some of this hits harder than it should.
