I agree with the first post here, Lauren Oliver has made us relate to that snob in high school. She has opened her for us to see that she's human too, and all the rudeness is a facade. I'm not a fan of the Delirium trilogy, but I definitely enjoyed Before I Fall. It's has a fresh turn to it, and I love how the protagonists develops in the process.

I read Before I Fall when it first came out. It was an amazing debut novel. I was absolutely blown away by it, and knew there was something special about Oliver. I actually do love the Delirium series also (well, maybe not the last book). I really need to read her other stuff too.

I agree that this book is overshadowed by her Delirium series. While various people have been telling me to read Delirium, only 1 person in real life recommended Before I Fall to me and they had just picked it up on impulse.
My weekend is all booked!

I read this book and really enjoyed it. I read it before I read the Delirium trilogy, and at the time, didn't even notice they were by the same author. I didn't used to pay attention to the authors of the books, though I do now. I actually really enjoyed the Delirium trilogy as well as Before I Fall. I also recently read Panic by Lauren Oliver and I really enjoyed that one too, though not quite as much.

I haven't read this book but I've heard great things about it. Maybe I'll add it to my shelves. Apparently there is a movie out for it?

I have to give more Lauren Oliver books a try. I have read the childrens book Lisl &Po and I was expecting so much more from it to be honest. But maybe the older YA stuff might have more appeal.

A couple of years ago I read the first half of this book and then, for some unknown reason, I stopped. I was actually really enjoying the novel so I still do not know why I stopped. I definitely want to restart it and then watch the movie. I am trying to wait to watch the movie until after I have finished the book.

I had a love hate relationship with this book. I loved it because it was so well written and had a great story line. But I hated it because I got tired of reading the same things over and over again. I kept thinking how many times do I have to read it?!

I love this book with a passion, but not for Sam's character. I fell in love with the optimism and devotion displayed in Kent, and the sadness displayed in Juliette. The author was able to completely capitalize on both ends of these emotional spectrums, and I was extremely impressed by this feat.

In 2018, I only read this book to accomplish my "NPR's Top 100 Young Adult Books" list. I am not a fan of this book, and therefore, I don't think I'd miss out on anything about it. Yeah, the protagonist is probably one of those girls I do not like but can avoid. I cannot relate to their situation, and I cannot fully empathize with any character in the book.
After reading it, I am now hesitant to read delirium.

It's been a while since I read the book. But I remember reading the first few chapters and feeling that all the characters were horrible people. Despite this I couldn't stop reading the book and when I did finish it, I ended up liking it. Somewhat.

And I do feel that people should read the book because it'll make you think and wonder about a lot of things.

Time loop stories are somewhat common, but the author used that tool so perfectly to set her scene and develop her characters that it is commendable.
