What did you think about the dynamics between Suzanne and Cody?

The drama and suspense of the plot was focused on a lot. At least I found it distracting. That being said, the dynamics between Suzanne and Cody kind of got the backseat in comparison

I didn't really think the dynamics between the two were that believable. Maybe if they were more flushed out and were more the focus of the story. For a romance, it didn't seem that romantic. Most historical romances, however, fall short on this, don't know so much about time travel ones (haven't read that many).

Their relationship seemed to not hold much chemistry and felt very surface level as if an afterthought.

It didn't have the chemistry that I expect of a good romance book. It felt too forced to me.

Their relationship didn't seem to be very deep. Events were happening so fast that it didn't give their relationship time to develop fully. Although with historical romances, that seems to happen often.

I had a hard time believing from the start that the two of them would fall in love. Suzanne is an abuse victim that recently had the courage to kick out her husband for the sake of her baby... And then she so easily trusts this good looking Indian man just because he pulled her from a car before it blew up? You'd think she would have been more defensive and angry. It just did not add up. For me there was a lot of eye rolling.

I agree that the romance seemed to happen much quicker than it should have. As the story progressed, it also seemed to vacillate between shallow and deep from their separate perspectives until about halfway through the book or so.

I agree that the romance became more authentic and real the further into the book. Things changed for me when Cody and Suzanne were on the run from his tribe.

I didn't feel the chemistry. It's just that everything moves so fast that i almost ignore all the romance thing.

The characters lacked a true connection in my opinion. I think the romance was underdeveloped.

I think Susan and Cody had a fickle relationship, and I didn't feel like there was chemistry between them, things were happening too fast and didn't give the opportunity to develop the relationship
