Re: Discussion of The Lovey Bones
The ending left me disappointed. It was a real let down. I really thought that they would catch Mr Harvey.
I enjoyed reading it and it was very hard to put down.
I am absolutely disgusted with Abigail. I can understand how hard it would be to lose a child but dang, she had 2 other children that needed her.
I had really hoped that while Susie was in Ruth's body that she would have told Ray where her body was.

But, I enjoyed reading the book a lot more than I did watching it, I think one of the best aspects to the book was the opening sentence "My name is Salmon, like the fish. First name: Susie. I was 14 years old, when I was murdered, on December 6, 1973." It's such a powerful statement, and it grabs your attention immediately. I'd definitely recommend reading it again, a lovely novel that leaves you in tears, I'd definitely read it again!

Her Mother was infuriating isn't she? And I also love a great twist when the author holds our emotions mercifully in their hands but I also enjoy a good ending. I found, also, the fact that they never found it to be Mr. Harvey didn't quite sit right with me.Mrs.T wrote:I did like the book, but I felt it dragged on for a while in the middle. Her mother upset me a little. The book was overall good and on a scale of one through ten I'd rate it like a seven. But maybee I would have liked it better if they actually caught mr. Harvey and if I didn't read it afterthe time travelers wife.
