That's a nice story. Hopefully the jobs were at least enjoyable one day of the week, if no more!Paliden wrote:One thing that comes to mind is when I was about 15 or 16. I wanted a laptop so bad but my family couldn't afford one. So I saved me money from different jobs and bought my own. They were so much more expensive for a basic one back in those days. I was so proud of the fact that I had bought my own laptop. Although my dad was more proud of the fact than I was!

Great question!
As a brand new mother I can definitely relate to this one, Scott. I just gave birth to my first son last month and I'm working hard on trying to be the best mom I can be. Parenthood is a lot of hard work but I'm trying to give it my all.

Yes, this is exactly my thinking as well. If my kids turn out to be happy, confident and independent people who have always felt love in our family, then I have truly accomplished something.

Ugh, student loan debts. I am still paying those off. I should finish the last payment in 18 months and when I do, I will be celebrating!!katiesquilts wrote: ↑03 Jan 2016, 10:14 I can't even think of one thing that I worked on for a long time with satisfying results. I did handwrite a novel when I was in junior high, but going back and rereading it is way too embarrassing!
I will say that the amount of debt I'm in from school is my biggest worry right now, especially since I only have one semester left. I feel like the day I make my last payment on those loans is going to be my "stepping up the ladder" moment! Especially since that day is far, far in the future haha
