*****************************************************************************************************************************************************

1. What author has influenced you the most?

As a writer of Historical Fiction, I have been influenced by Ken Follet and his series of books beginning with Pillars of the Earth.

2. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

Show - don't tell, which is a writing technique to allow the reader to experience the action through descriptions and action rather than description.

3. When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

I always wanted to be a storyteller. The evolution to becoming a novelist didn't occur until 2017 when I made the decision to give it a go and see if I had the writing chops.

4. Let's talk about your book, A Cobbler's Tale. It's about a Jewish family fleeing War set in the 1900s. How did you decide on this time period?

I wanted to tell the story of my Great-Grandparents' immigration beginning in 1910.

5. Being a historical fiction, how much research went into the book and how did you do your research?

I spend several months researching a time period and its events before I put pen to paper, or fingers upon a keyboard.

6. The story is loosely based on your great grandparents. How similar are the characters to your family members?

The characters are loosely based on my relatives. I took the liberty of making them more courageous and colorful than I imagine they really were.

7. If you only had one sentence to sum up your book, how would you do so?

Mysticism, adventure, struggle and a family going beyond their limits to survive.

8. Do you have another book in the works?

In addition to A Cobbler's Tale I have published: Moon Flower, The Righteous One, The Bomb Squad and Hope City. Soon to be published in the fall of 2020 is Sadie's Sin.

I enjoy throwing in a few fun questions as well.

9. What's your favorite color and why?

The many greens of late summer, showing its ripeness before the fall.

10. What animal would you most want to be?

An Eagle.

11. Brick, vinyl siding, stone, or stucco?

Large block stone.

12. Digital or analog?

Digital for its ease of use.
A book is a dream you hold in your hands.
